I have a standard length/width queen mattress with a box spring (60" x 80") and I ordered an 18" queen mattress. The scope fits and stays in place without the use of pins. However, the fabric is pulled so tight that the gathering is completely lost. The bed does not look like the photo. No, I don't think pleats are ruffles. It's definitely wrinkles. I've tried loosening them up a bit by lightly spraying the skirt with water and drying it with a dryer on low, but to no avail. Definitely not the look I was aiming for. upset. The king might work better, but will most likely need pins to hold it in place.
