Review on Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 40 mm Wi-Fi NFC Smart Watch, Arctic/Grey by Adam Trela ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am amazed at how well the product is made, just magically!

Since I've been using Android, I decided to upgrade my watch. Previously, I had been using the Apple Watch S3. I was happy to see there are so many options for personalized watch faces out there. Much more exercise options than the Apple Watch. The Apple Watch's battery life is unchanged at 2 days with AoD activated. Strangely, Samsung's activity tracker is more accurate than the Apple Watch, which still grossly exaggerates its distance claims even after calibration. Yet, after using an Apple Watch, Samsung's blunders become glaringly obvious. Compared to the AW's Taptic Engine, the vibration is quite unpleasant. Auto-brightness requires you to remove the watch out from under your jacket sleeve and wait an extra second for the sensor to swell and set the desired brightness. In order to check your pulse while running on a treadmill, you lift your wrist to activate the screen, but nothing happens. You give it another go, this time much more cautiously, and the screen finally responds. A individual who has never used a workout created the screen for a currently running workout. The calorie count and heart rate displays seem to be in the wrong places. This results in the need to manually navigate through the various screens. And you accomplish this feat while speeding around a track! The option to alter the appearance of these displays would be welcome. Due to the tablet's weak magnet, the watch frequently loses connection with the charger when in use. Autonomy, while an improvement over my prior Apple Watch, is still lacking; the same boring Galaxy Watch has a longer lifespan. Yet, the Active's layout is far more appealing to me. Despite all of the aforementioned problems, I am still quite pleased with the watch, as it is now your best bet if you are an Android user. Since the Galaxy Watch Active's features are severely limited when used with iOS, I cannot recommend it. Instead, iPhone users would be better served by purchasing an Apple Watch.
