The customer service from Ess was excellent! I had an issue with my unit not charging correctly so they were able find me someone who could help diagnose it over email (which took less than 10 minutes) then came out right away when we found what needed fixing or replacing - very professional team!! If you have any questions about your system contact them directly as their support staff will be happy/willing & eager assist YOU. We are using energy stored by our solar panels during peak hours which reduces demand charges at night time but also allows us use those extra generated power credits later if need arises through smart meters etc..
