I have this and one of the heavy protractors handy. I use the square one for maps and short ranges, the round one with the rubber band I use for azimuth and long ranges (thanks to the long scale in the middle). I'm deducting a star for 2 reasons: The plastic it's made of can be a little thicker. I usually see these cracks at 1:25k corners. Mine doesn't have one yet and I've abused it (like a grunt) so that might be a good thing. Another reason is the elastic cord. Sometimes it will undo, and it's not very accurate either, unless you're very careful with it. One day I hope to see a version with a tiny plastic arm that pivots in the middle and quickly gives good accuracy.
