a good product! for protractor

looks great! I keep it in my folder when we do outdoor exercises, I prefer the square ones, they look practical and at a good price!

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Useless functions

Seal is wearing off

I used it for a 2 day land navigation course and by the end of the course the print was already peeling off making it difficult to read. Garbage.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Does not include the commonly used 1:24000 scale

USGS maps typically use a 1:24000 scale. Don't plan to use this protractor with these maps as it doesn't have a 1:24000 measuring tool. This is a great tool, just check if you need 1:24000 scale.

Pros
  • Easy-to-read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

Great transporter! on measuring and marking tools

I was pleasantly surprised that the company sent the protractor pre-cut! A useful tool right out of the box, a great cheat sheet for all your land navigation needs. I wish the print was a little more embossed and the plastic a little more brittle compared to military protractors, but other than that it's a much better tool.

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other tools

No comrade died as a result of this protractor

I have this and one of the heavy protractors handy. I use the square one for maps and short ranges, the round one with the rubber band I use for azimuth and long ranges (thanks to the long scale in the middle). I'm deducting a star for 2 reasons: The plastic it's made of can be a little thicker. I usually see these cracks at 1:25k corners. Mine doesn't have one yet and I've abused it (like a grunt) so that might be a good thing. Another reason is the elastic cord. Sometimes it will undo, and…
