I love this tool. It really helps with trimming transition chains in my machine embroidery. It should be noted that to cut the cord very close to the fabric you need to hold the side funnel vertically straight up with the blades pressed against the fabric. Quickly and firmly squeeze the two handles and it will be a clean cut. If you try to cut it gently or slowly it will shear off the tread leaving a slightly ragged edge which is then very difficult to cut. Once you get the hang of it, you'll never want to embroider without it. It's going to stay that way until you get a machine to cut your skipping lines for you!
