I needed a large kennel that didn't look like a carrier for my cat. She will fight to the death if I try to put her in a carrier. I didn't have a choice because we were moving. I received this kennel a few days before the planned move. I put her bed in and left it in the bathroom. She liked it enough to walk freely in it. She was already asleep in her bed the day of the move, so I just closed it before she realized what was going on. It was easy and exactly what I was hoping for. It's not durable at all and I think if she wanted a tiny fight it would just fall apart. So if you have an animal like this, I suggest looking for something more permanent.
