rough cut. Size (10) is suitable for 5 years. Size M (12) barely fits a skinny 8 year old

I first ordered a small (10) parchment for my lanky (skinny) 8 year old. Fits like a wetsuit. I exchanged it for a Paris medium (12) as there were no parchments in the medium. Despite the picture, this is not a clasp. In terms of fit, this environment is as long as a nightgown and yet too tight. It barely fits like a sweatshirt or outerwear. Unless your child is on the downward arc of heroin addiction or hasn't spent their entire life in a sub-Saharan refugee camp, this is no comparison to the average human male child. I already had these poncho style sweatshirts. They are good for chilly evenings in the Outer Banks after a day of diving or surfing. You must sit freely. An unusual landing is not in fashion here. Unfortunately, this is the trend of companies trying to increase their profits by truncating material to its absurdly logical conclusion. It can be argued that these are all simulacrums of artifacts from past surfing culture. But it tops it. Perhaps, in this postmodern era at its peak, these are actually simulacra of worn clothing.
