I purchased this monitor from Revain on September 17, 2014 as a secondary monitor for use with an HP laptop. The laptop has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and is the native resolution of the monitor. Nice panel, very clear, good color, stable stand. But for the past two weeks, when my computer woke up or I plugged my laptop back in, the monitor refused to wake up. The power button glows amber and behaves like it's not working, meaning it's not doing anything. Unplug the power cord, wait for the power button light to go out, then plug the power cord back in - the monitor turns on and works fine - at least until the next time I unplug the laptop and the monitor turns off. Sleep. I fear that eventually the entire power board will die. I have contacted Planar about this issue and requested a warranty RMA. No reply yet, but it's only been two days. Disappointing. Would have been five stars apart from that food issue. Update January 2015: I have contacted Planar twice about this issue using the customer service form on their website. No Answer. Attention buyers. A normal product, but in my experience no customer support (and thus de facto no guarantee). I have worked out a workaround: turn off the monitor before disconnecting it from the laptop and turn it back on after reconnecting it.
