Nice but not flush with the knobs

I have a 2017 brz MT and they snap on easily for installation without having to add the glue provided. However, my problem is that it is 1/2mm too short to cover the entire handle. See photos. You will notice the gap between the cap and the buttons as well as the end of the button. It still looks good and can still work, so I'm keeping it to myself.
