I've been looking for a fast and accurate meat thermometer and I hope this is the one. The reason I chose this one is because it has a probe that I can stick into the meat while it's still cooking. I find this much easier than constantly opening the grate and checking with an instant thermometer reading. The first time I used it, the reading dropped from 72 to 190 or so right after I put it on. But when I put the thermometer back to the flatter spot, the reading was perfect. I am very satisfied so far!
