Review on PetSafe Ultrasonic Dog Bark Training Collar: Static-Free Correction for Large and Small Dogs by Joey Makarovski

We kept 2 dogs (45lbs and 20lbs) in a yard with an underground fence and collars. Both will become territorial and run to the edge of the yard, barking madly at anyone passing by. First we tried the spray collars. This is effective on a small dog, but our large dog just keeps barking while spraying. She's particularly sensitive to loud noises, running and hiding when we clap loudly or yelling when the Steelers score a touchdown. We have been using the ultrasound collar for a week now. This made her stop barking completely! The baby can make a little grunting bark without spraying the collar. Also, they both sit peacefully in our way when someone comes by. It's such a relief! I can see that other noises can activate the collar, so we only keep the collar on when she's outside unsupervised. Let's hope we can remove the collar completely once she "learns" to bark.
