Definitely great value for money and definitely better than cotton! So cool and comfortable

I live in Arizona and we've had a fever for a few weeks. It was stuffy lying on my old cotton sheets even without the top sheet - every point my body made contact with the bed became hot and sweaty. Almost every morning I woke up with dirty, wet sheets; it was like sleeping in a swamp. Linen should be more breathable and ideal for hot climates and those who sleep in hot weather. I'm on a tight budget and the prospect of paying around $300 for a basic set of linen sheets was unacceptable as I had never touched linen before and had no idea if I would enjoy it. I was also keen to try something that might make sleep more bearable, so $130 seemed like a good deal to me. I did a lot of reading before deciding and decided that if the bedding really is that comfortable and lasts 5-10 years or even 20-30 years as some claim it is worth a try. Correctly. The stitching is admittedly not the best quality, but after just one night wearing these sheets I know I love linen. No hot spots between me and the bed, no sweat in the morning, no waking up in the middle of the night to drink water because I was sweating all over. I'm a natural linen color and I love its textured look and feel. The texture is actually not as rough as I expected, although I wouldn't exactly call it soft. It's very comfortable to sleep on though - I love how the linens wrap around me instead of clinging to them and how they trap air when you toss them on the bed. People have different texture preferences, so linen might not be to everyone's liking, but I will. Maybe someday I'll expand and try other brands, but I'm very glad I tried this brand for the first time. It's definitely a huge improvement over my old sheets and a great value. ---------- A few quick notes: 1. I have never tried any other underwear brand, so I can't speak about the quality compared to others.2. I can say that these sheets are just a godsend compared to cotton. Not only did they wick sweat better than cotton, I actually sweat less. They feel cool when I crawl into bed at night and stay that way.3. While the stitching isn't the best I've seen, it's not bad either. These sheets are worth it if you live in a hot climate or want to try linen for other reasons. The pockets seem huge and I wasn't sure if they would fit my bed, but the elastic is generous enough to gently pull away all the excess fabric underneath the mattress - no chance of the corners bouncing off while you sleep. Pillowcases have envelope closures.4. I read several reviews about the bad smell when I first opened the packaging; mine were fine and lay right on the bed.5. I've also read reviews of holes appearing in the fabric too early; I can't talk about it yet, but I'll let you know later when those sheets are getting old. I will say that linen is generally considered more durable than cotton but not as resilient; If you use too much heat or wrinkle bed sheets (throw them in the dryer in a tangled lump, fold them too tight for storage, etc.), the creases tend to unravel because the fibers break. I don't know if it makes a difference, but it's good to know for general maintenance. I've also read that fabric softener makes the fabric stiffer and also makes it less breathable and less absorbent; that can also be a factor. If these sheets have holes even without excessive creasing and with fabric softener, I will flag that as it would be a major quality issue. Long review but I'm kinda amazed at how well linen towels breathe. If I sleep this well every night, it could change my life.
