My son uses this lantern every night! Pros: It's fun and bright with good color options. Disadvantages: A) The rotary motor will be stressed after a short period of use. B) There is no fading-style soft flickering in the lighting options. I use it in full tone mode because the enthusiastic light doesn't lull anyone. C) A cloudy "bowl-shaped" lid to make non-projecting light out of it is useless. Don't worry about that. It's not meant to be a representation of real stars/constellations, just funny stars and moonlight (which is what I was expecting). The pros were strong enough for me to ignore the cons and keep using it. My little son loves it!
