Review on 🥞 Flexible Pancake Turner with OXO Good Grips Silicone for Easy Flipping by Dan West

I've always been pleased with the thoughtful design of OXO products. As someone previously posted, this company seems to actually have real chefs designing their products. It works great on my 10" and 12" nonstick pans. (It's a bit large for my 8-inch pan, but OXO also makes a narrower silicone spatula for smaller pans). Since it's heat resistant up to 600F/315C, I think my days of regularly melting down my old plastic fins are finally over, and I can feel good about silicone keeping weird chemicals out of my food. Additionally, new research shows that plastic fins can micro-scratch even supposedly super-hard ceramic non-stick coatings, resulting in poor pan performance. For me it's silicone. Happy with this and other recent OXO purchases Update 6 months after purchase: I still give 5 stars to all my OXO silicone spatulas (I now have the full range from small to large). Nothing melted, easy to clean, and I do my job all the time. This is a good product. As a side note, I use these silicone products with my stainless steel and ceramic pans. I don't use them on my pans or cast iron pans as these pan formats are too offensive for silicone. Spatulas over time I also hand wash these as soon as I can after cooking. All of my OXOs are in practically new condition and I would recommend and buy them again if you want well-designed products for cooks who want to get good results (even old folks like me who hone their skills by finding better tools).
