I use these sensors as dry contact input sensors for random things in my house. In combination with the power switch, I can check whether a device is working. I don't like using smart plugs for critical items like the sump pump due to the possibility of the switch being off, so that's my job. The sensor connected to my ZHA instance in HA without any problems. It comes as a Tuya sensor and reports on/off status of the contact as well as the battery. It uses a standard CR2450 sensor. While it works great as a water sensor, I cut the water sensor wire and plugged it into a power switch to control the sump and ejector pumps. It's a lot cheaper than the Ecolink zwave door contacts I usually use. However, be aware that the cable is very cheap and ultra-thin. I speak like 34awg. I ended up unsoldering the cable from the pads and putting on new 22awg which would be easier for me to work with. It may not be necessary, but I couldn't remove the included cable without damaging it. It was much easier to just solder a new wire. This sensor works great and I could see I was getting more. The $20 cost is a lot cheaper than the $35+ Ecolink sensors, and they work exactly the same (assuming you have Zwave AND Zigbee at home).
