It doesn't have the suction, protection or adhesion I should rate. It slides over one of the vents, then turn a knob (like an old radio volume knob) to tighten the end of the clip over the vents. If you always drive the same car, that's it. It also doesn't fall out of the side mount every time you hit a bump. If you want to remove it from this car to hide the GPS, I keep a clip in the vent and remove it at the swivel ball. I drive different cars all day and change cars often. I usually use this method to take mine off and then loosen the knob so I don't damage the unit or the vents. I like it.
