Review on Original German Shammy Absorbent Bathroom by Robert Decamps

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It's hard to know what to expect from these towels

I cut a square piece off one of the large sheets I received. I'm not an experienced suede user so I don't know what is normal and what is exceptional. But they don't seem to be that absorbent. Are my expectations too high? Maybe. I remember those old ShamWow commercials and it seems like they have to collect more water and faster than they do. When water drops get on the lids of my glass jars in the fridge and I try to dry them with this suede, it doesn't seem to pick up the drops any better than my old cotton washcloths. As mentioned before, maybe I'm just a novice user. I never intended to use them to dry my car after washing, so I can't comment on that. Maybe I'll find out more over time. Not that I use them every day. They are for emergencies only - and the price seemed reasonable for the experiment.
