Too Hard for Car Drying

I bought it to dry the car. However, the material on it seems to be too hard for the car. This feeling is different from the "shammi" I'm used to. I was afraid that there would be scratches. I tried it on a small spot on my car and found it wasn't even very absorbent. It just moved the water. You can look at the material this towel is made of before you buy it, the towel says 100% viscose. They're good for cleaning the kitchen, but as far as drying the car, I don't think it's a good use for…

Pros
  • For use on everything from cars to household surfaces such as appliances, countertops, furniture, cabinets, wood paneling, floors and windows.
Cons
  • I will write later

A big improvement in cleaning products

I wish I had found it years ago. They're just as absorbent as my old synthetic suede towels (from Trader Joe's), but they get far less dirty than those or cotton towels. I cut one of the sheets to a size that I enjoy wiping kitchen countertops with and this original piece has stayed impressively fresh for the last 3 months, even with the occasional hand washing. It's not pristine, but I'm no longer embarrassed at how ugly my tablecloth looks. As well as this first part holds up, the overall…

Pros
  • This suede will always be soft and like new again after drying. Machine washable
Cons
  • No performance

Everything I wanted

I bought this towel set because my basement had a small leak during the rain and I needed something to catch the water. I have to admit that I was skeptical because of the "Made in West Germany" stamp that adorns the product. These things were made 30 years ago? Will they work? The very next night these towels were called for service and they were amazing. It wasn't a jet of water, but it would easily overflow any towels—paper or otherwise—that I could put down. However, these towels soaked up…

Pros
  • Safe, non-scratch material ideal for any smooth surface. Each shammi measures 20 x 27 inches.
Cons
  • Slightly torn

It's hard to know what to expect from these towels

I cut a square piece off one of the large sheets I received. I'm not an experienced suede user so I don't know what is normal and what is exceptional. But they don't seem to be that absorbent. Are my expectations too high? Maybe. I remember those old ShamWow commercials and it seems like they have to collect more water and faster than they do. When water drops get on the lids of my glass jars in the fridge and I try to dry them with this suede, it doesn't seem to pick up the drops any better…

Pros
  • uses from vehicles to household surfaces such as appliances, countertops, furniture, cabinets, wood paneling, floors and windows.
Cons
  • There are doubts
