Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Logitech F310 Wired Gamepad Controller with Console-Like Layout and 4-Way Switch D-Pad for PC - Blue by Makoto Oonishi แ Œ

Not a bad product, but you can find better.

Conclusion. To tell the truth, it is not at all clear why the joystick is designed with such shortcomings, given that the top model of this line (F710) costs $50 (1250 UAH), which is almost the same as Microsoft. In general, if you want to purchase a relatively inexpensive gamepad ($20) with xinput support, then this is a good option, much better than Chinese counterparts like Speedlink, whose sticks start to fail after 2 months. I hope that this model will work for at least a few years. Although, judging by the gamepads from the Xbox 360, in which after 3 years of use the sticks stop returning to their place, then you donโ€™t expect a miracle at all. I hope the review will be useful to you =)

Pros
  • So my essay on the topic "First impressions of the Logitech F310". Bought yesterday. Go. It is recognized by games as an Xbox 360 controller. One has only to press one of the buttons while playing more or less new games, as the interface instantly changes and instead of "press space" for example it will say "press (X)", (tested on GTA5, Mad Max, Just Cause 2, Test Drive Unlimited 2, in the latter you need to change the keyboard to a gamepad in the settings). The case is assembled well, does not creak, does not play. The surface of the sticks is rubberized. Sticks and triggers have a very small dead zone. The working area is almost the entire stroke of the trigger or stick. Buttons A, B, X, Y are made as on the Xbox 360 gamepad i. E. if cheap controllers use paint for their signature, which wears off over time, then here these buttons are made along with their designation. No need to set up, plug and play.
Cons
  • Ergonomics. The joystick is not very comfortable to hold in your hand. If you can still get used to its shape, then I will continue to list what you just have to put up with by buying this joystick. Tight chickens. I played racing for 2 hours, then my finger hurt all evening. I'm sure the Kulibins will be able to do something about it, replace the spring or shorten it, but personally I would not like to open a new joystick under warranty yet. The "mode" button is located too close to the "back" button, and not in the center, as it is, for example, on old Sony PS joysticks, so at the beginning of use you have a chance to constantly confuse these buttons. A defective cross, like on a joystick from Sega or Xbox 360. It plays and dangles, which does not allow you to perform precise actions in those games where it is often used, for example, if you are a fan of old Dendy, Sega or Playstation games. In general, this cross is suitable only for modern games, where it is rarely used to switch weapons, or turn on a flashlight, it is inconvenient to play on it. Fortunately, the "mode" button can sometimes come to the rescue here, which "swap" the cross and the left stick. I donโ€™t know about you, but after holding a lot of gamepads in my hands, I came to the conclusion that the d-pad is the most convenient for Sony. Buttons A, B, X, Y for some reason are slightly recessed into the case. Yes, and I would like them to move a little less.
