A bird has clawed it in

I really liked how it caught the seed and might try using it on the underside away from our bird. He climbed onto his cage and latched onto her claws. If I hadn't been by his side when it happened, I don't know if he could have been hurt. I really think this item is a good idea if I can figure out how to use it so the bird can't get too close to it. It really helps to catch seeds and shells.
