There's nothing coming through these curtains, they block out I would say 99.96% including from the top of the curtain. That .04% is from areas it's not flat against the windowsill or gaps from wrinkles. They are SO heavy, you have to have a nice curtain rod to hold these, but for us here in Texas, curtains like this are essential to maintain cooler temps in the summer. I wish I could wrap my house in these. I think they are worth the price, maybe a little on the high end but they've done a great job since I've put them up. Matter of fact, I'm going to move them to a different window that gets more sun through the day to see if it makes a difference.
