I liked everything about Sony except they were both.
I bought this recorder twice but now I order Panasonic. I liked everything about the Sony except that they both had the same problem - the volume knob broke so there is hissing when I try to turn on the sound. The audio then becomes either very loud or very quiet unless I turn up the volume control. If you buy this I recommend getting an extended warranty as each of my recorders has had this issue for several months. Too bad, because usually Sony products are more reliable.
- Full auto power off releases buttons in play, record, rewind and rewind modes to save power and batteries
