DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK In the opening hole there are two small internal projections in the center of the filter opening - these projections prevent the filter from rotating clockwise in the filter housing and blocking the filter - Use a sharp narrow bladed pocket knife. Carefully remove the two tabs at least 3/16" from the top of the opening, stopping periodically and shaking/removing the cut plastic pieces to prevent them from falling into the filter housing. Cut - the filter is easy to install and turns clockwise properly to lock the filter in the filter housing - works great and has no leaks.
