Review on HP Pavilion 23Xw Backlit Monitor: Full HD 1920X1080P, 60Hz, HDMI – J7Y75AA#ABA by Trevor Arroyo

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Why is the old analog VGA cable but not HDMI?

Okay, the display is quite nice. And I agree with some users, internal speakers would be nice. But they're optional, and it's not uncommon to find monitors without them, especially at this price point. Also, they aren't listed in the specs, so buyers shouldn't be surprised. I listen to much higher-quality music on the PC (CDs, internet radio, etc.) and personally prefer to use my own external loudspeakers with a subwoofer than the tinny, quieter sound of the supplied loudspeakers in the monitor or on older PCs. .So why not give this monitor four or five stars given the very good display? Simply because the product reflects a company that often lags behind current trends and offers a product that could be improved simply by updating to modern technology. Look, I just bought this monitor (23 inch version) to connect to a brand new HP ENVY 860st desktop. The PC is equipped with HDMI, DP and DVI connections, all higher resolution digital display formats that are in high demand by today's consumers. Much lower resolution VGA analog connections are out as consumers are rapidly migrating to higher resolution digital display formats change resolution. likely for consumers who still have older PCs that only have VGA. But the number is getting smaller every day. But what is "included" about cables? VGA only! Come on HP, keep up with the times and put B. an HDMI cable, or even instead of a VGA dinosaur. It doesn't cost much to switch, and people who need VGA probably already have a VGA cable from whatever old PC they're still using. Today's consumers who use HDMI, for goodness sake, give the customer the cable they need, not one they probably won't even use. Do this and my rating will be four or five stars!
