I have a motherboard with a Q67 chipset. The first set of DIMMs works fine and I have 16GB on my computer. I ordered a second kit to increase the storage up to 32GB. The computer froze for a few minutes after running Ubuntu Linux 14.04, although 48 hours of memtest86+ didn't show any errors :( Took out the new DIMMs and everything worked fine. Took out the old DIMMs and replaced them with new ones and the system crashed again. I didn't try to figure out which DIMM was bad My mistake Put the old DIMMs back in and the system runs for more than three days before I turn it off."This time I did a little testing and figured out which DIMM it was System hung continuously within a minute of booting up due to a bad DIMM Another return was made for a replacement Last replacement kit worked, one bad DIMM.
