The ballast eliminates interference for the baby monitor.

Old ballast was making a static or buzzing noise on the baby monitor when the light was on. This ballast has completely eliminated this noise and allows us to hear the sound clearly on the monitor again. It appears that the new ballast is for residential use while the old ballast was commercial. There must be something to it, because the problem is solved.
