Excellent quality chain, very heavy and strong. I speak for my pup based on body language and say it's convenient as he doesn't get angry wearing something around his neck like he did with the collar also shown in the picture. In any case, I am satisfied with the purchase. he looks so good When he outgrows it in a month or two I will buy a longer length. I followed the guide as I measured his neck. He's 12" tall + some changes around the neck so I went for 14" as suggested. For me it's the visual part since he's wearing a walking harness. I would say if your dog is leash trained and not pulling then this would be a good walking collar.
