First of all, this isn't a drinking cup, so buy something else if you really need that. I love it because it keeps the tea so hot all day. I pour tea into a cup. It's amazing how it keeps the tea hot for hours. The color is beautiful and the size is so compact - it holds the same amount of liquid as much larger travel mugs. I've read reviews of how many people use this, how they put tea leaves in the body of the cup and leave them there, and then use the filter to drink or pour the tea. However, I want to brew the tea and remove the leaves from the container when I'm done brewing as I can't drink tea for several hours. So I put the tea in a strainer, add hot water, close everything and turn it upside down. Then, when my brew timer goes off, I remove the tea leaves and infuser, and voila, I have perfectly brewed tea! So if you're looking for a mug to walk around and drink with, this product isn't for you. If you are looking for an attractive and compact mug that will keep your tea hot all day, this product is a real gem!
