Just received today. It's beautiful (hence 2 stars instead of 1) but I have to go back because it comes with a CA Prop 65 warning that it can cause reproductive and birth defects. If I have overlooked this in the description I take full responsibility but this is not stated in the description which is misleading and potentially illegal.

If you're looking for a thermos that will keep you warm, then this is for you! I poured myself tea in the morning and it was still hot in the evening. This isn't real. It's a little tricky to clean but I have an old bottle brush that I used to clean and it was great. The tea filter works quite well, but sometimes small pieces break through. Overall this is a great thermometer and I would recommend it a hundred times over.

I like this brand of mugs but after a few years the seals fail and I have to replace the mugs. You can't drink from it without touching the metal on your lips. It was just what I needed to make tea comfortable during long shifts at work. It's lightweight and good looking, and holds about a cup and a half of liquid. I brew tea twice so the amount suits my needs. I also don't think much about how long my teas take to steep. If someone is more picky about one of these, it might not work for them. Unfortunately, this "travel mug" for tea does not allow drinking directly from the mug. The only way to do this is to drink straight from a stainless steel mug. Anyone who has ever had hot coffee or tea from a metal container will tell you that it is not the most pleasant experience. In addition, the elaborate design of the lid seems rather pointless. I have other Zojirushi travel mugs and I bought this one to brew tea on the go or grandpa style - either way leave the tea leaves in the glass, while you drink it. The key here is to use GOOD QUALITY TEA LEAVES (not in bags). The tea filter keeps the leaves in the canister well while you drink liquid. If all you need is a thermos or vacuum mug, there are millions of them. This bottle is an insulated portable kettle as it has a strainer that fits into the neck and ensures the tea leaves stay in and out of your cup. If there is something else that can do this, I haven't found it. Some people will want to plan their tea carefully. And the length of their commute is probably not the time they are looking for.
