I live in an industrial building and the blower does not use standard size filters. It worked great. The filter is cuttable and washable. The manufacturer claims it will hold its shape and not bend when using the blower, but I still used clips in the blower. It depends on you. The fibers are very close together which means they pick up fine dust better than fiberglass filters, although not as well as high quality paper filters. A very good choice if you want something washable or can't find a filter size.
