I know it's just a chair but I looked through a few chairs before finally deciding to buy this one. I often like to lean back in my chair. I know you shouldn't and it's often hard on chairs. As a result, I moved several chairs. I have had a wooden chair for a number of years. It held out for a while before finally starting to creak before gradually falling apart. Then I went through some cheap $10 metal folding chairs. Each lasted several months before giving up. Just don't lean back in your chair. I bought this chair specifically because it is made entirely of steel. All parts are welded, so there are no moving parts installed. The entire chair is a solid piece of metal, except for the small legs that bolt on from underneath. The day I received this chair I knew it would last me the rest of my life - that's why I bought it. It's comfortable and I can lean back in it all day.
