DO NOT buy them. Not worth the money or the work.

I bought this skin and buttons from the same company. I received all parts in the last week of March and made changes to my brand new Joy-Cons right out of the box within a few days, allowing me to use the Joy-Cons for at least two full months after installation. and buttons and leather. I've waited until I have many games to write my review for this product. Firstly, I do not recommend disassembling Joy-Cons to insert new buttons or a new skin at all. Before purchasing I watched several YouTube videos that claimed that replacing buttons and/or leather was tedious but doable for the inexperienced, but this is misleading. I want to go head over heels and say DON'T DO THIS. I'm fairly inexperienced at tuning electronics myself, but I've moved on to tuning Joy-Cons with the help of my fiancรฉ (he builds custom computers and is adept at disassembling and reassembling electronic parts). Even for those experienced with this, the parts and space inside the controller are extremely small and any incorrect movement can affect the controls. I didn't notice any issues with my Joy-Cons after we completed the changes, but a few days after we set up the Joy-Cons, I tried playing Mario Party with my fiancรฉ with one of my Joy-Cons, and noted that the correct Joy-Con was not registered for use with a single controller. I figured the problem was more that we were using different Joy-Cons from different pairs, so I picked a pair for our other set of Joy-Cons and didn't think about it for a while. A month and a half into setup, I noticed a lag in how some controls responded during gameplay. I paid a lot for Animal Crossing during quarantine so I assumed it was a low battery issue but after I charged the switch and joy-cons and moved the joy-cons to the joy-con , I handled my right Joy-Con (the same as before). During the longer game, the connection kept dropping. Then, when I tried to put my Animal Crossing game into two player mode, I found that my left joy-con was working fine, but my right joy-con was not registering as a single controller (again, same problem as before, but this time I didn't use Joy-Cons from two different sets). I still use my Joy-Cons, but I can't use them for games that require fine control, like fishing in Animal Crossing or boss fights in BOTW. The biggest issue with Joy-Cons is that most games use the controls on the right Joy-Con for actions, so I'm really limited on some of the actions I can perform with a Joy-Con. We recommend swapping out the skin or buttons for the Joy-Cons, as any customization you make to the Joy-Cons will require you to take everything apart. I realized that these adjustments could affect the integrity of the Joy-Cons, so I bought a new pair to use for tuning. However, despite my precautions, I don't recommend setting up Joy-Cons, even if it's a second pair, because you'll have limited use of those Joy-Cons (you can't use them in Mario Party for gaming). that require more precise control, etc.). As easy as this company tries to make adjustments with their video tutorials and the tools they include with the product, you are really just wasting your money and time with these products as the Joy-Cons are not designed for easy adjustment , and even if you have more experience with electronics tuning, it will be difficult to handle small ribbons, small parts and thin wires. Eventually you will run out of joymines and will likely need to buy another new pair. The soft skin feel and the variety of colors are not worth the laborious construction and the risk of not enjoying it later.
