Bought to trim some trees; The spikes are more like spikes and are too short for trees of any thickness of bark. Also, the straps that attach the spike assembly to the boot don't work very well, often requiring an adjustment of half a step up the tree to get the boot into the correct position. Good for the price but not very functional for what I was doing
