Good switchboard, no schematics.

Good machine. There are no instructions or wiring diagrams included. Purchased as a set with Suburban SW6DE water heater. There are NO wiring diagrams on it. (See photo for wiring diagram)

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Easy to service

Small switch with full control.

The dash panel was smaller than I thought; but it was great when installed alongside other control switches. Small and compact, it controls the gas and electric mode of the water heater. Great switch for a great price.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Updates

The switch is great! The technical data is incorrect.

The switch itself is great. The reviews and your website as to whether a relay is needed were incorrect so we endeavored to find a compatible relay on short notice. Better technical information should be available.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Fine

Suburban is doing big!

This is the switch you need if you are using 110V anything other than a Suburban water heater. When you connect your part of the 110v heater to the attached wire you use an electrical switch to control this. The chart is easy to understand.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Easy Modification

I got this to replace the switches in the closet. Now they are in the bathroom where they feel more comfortable. The next project is to relocate the electric tank valve switches to the bathroom instead of an external storage compartment. I will be able to open the galley, showers and toilet tanks from the fifth wheel!

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Not sure

Nice switch, easy to install

I replaced my old switch with this when replacing a suburban hot water tank. The old switch just turned the propane on/off with a red light until the propane lit up. This new switch also turns on/off the electrical part of the hot water tank. I love the fact that I can turn the power on and off in my van instead of going outside, removing the fuel filler flap and flipping a switch. The only thing I want from an electrical switch is a lightbulb to remind you it's on.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not bad

So I have to smear it with glue to make it fit snugly. Here's the question

Ok, the device is worthy. The base plate is slightly concave so I find it never lays flat when inserted so I have to put drops of glue on it to get it in place. Here's the problem: I wasn't aware that the unit needed a separate relay to control the electric water heater element and it took quite a bit of time and effort to figure it out. You can't just send about 1100 watts through a switch to start a water heater element. If I had known this was the case I would have simply bought a household…

Pros
  • Hands-free
Cons
  • Very expensive

A clean solution for installing a dual propane/electric water heater.

I really like this panel as it provides a clean set of switches to control my suburban propane/electric water heater. I was able to install it flush in the kitchen next to the water heater for easy access and good visibility. Wiring was very easy and it works exactly as expected. A few notes: Depending on your water heater model, you may need to add a relay between the switch and the water heater's 110V terminal. You should not supply 110V through this switch. My particular Suburban water…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
