The item I received does not look like the picture. The picture shows the strap connected directly to a plastic pin that is inserted into a channel on the awning tube. What I received has a plastic pin with a plastic loop that the strap goes through and then sews back on. With this design, all pulling force on the strap is concentrated on the sides of a thin plastic loop that breaks easily. Haven't used this one yet, but others of this design have failed one use. I'm keeping this item but remove the plastic loop and just insert a plastic scribe into the strap loop and secure by melting a few dots with a soldering iron tip.
