Shaping a hamburger is not high math but I found this device to be well made and solid and worked exactly as described. I would suggest using spacer sheets on both the top and bottom to avoid sticking to surfaces - it also makes cleaning easier. I weigh my hamburger balls to the same weight before forming as this allows for an even thickness. Installation to obtain a homogeneous end product. After weighing, place the divider sheet on the bottom of the device, the hamburger ball in the middle, the divider sheet on top and slightly flatten the ball. This centers everything nicely and then lowers the top of the device and clicks. A little trial and error setting the thickness for the first pair and you're ready to make burgers.
