I tried it at home first just to make sure it worked, a week later I needed it on the trail when I blew my rear tire off the rim on a hard 90 degree right hander. The tube came out between the rim and the tire (4 inch fat tire, lo air pressure) but it didn't burst the tube, had to air it down to stuff the tube back in, used one 25 gram Co-2 to inflate back to 9 psi and in a few minutes I was back to having fun. Takes up almost no room, and you can regulate the gas flow making it very useful on all size wheels.
