Switch your drives (for Dell Inspiron 1440 users, here is a YouTube video that helped me: [.] 4. Before you erase the old drive make sure your new drive works I have to say my drive works very well, my computer runs faster than before and I'm actually considering getting a 1TB drive ( or maybe not) :) UPDATE (Oct 2016): There s drive was still working when I gave it to a friend of mine who needed a laptop (previously Inspiron!). I just factory reset it and now it works even better! I've had it for 8 years so I hope he has it for another 8 (although I'm pretty sure I'm wishful thinking). Maybe I should just wish he kept it until he could buy a better one!
