The magnets are good and strong. Each curtain was individually wrapped in plastic but taped together and I thought the wrapping had melted in transit as it was so hot outside. but that's not the case - the magnets stick together *through* the packaging! For installation, I find it's best and easiest to place the magnets directly on your car's door frame, not on the door itself. It's not thick enough to disturb the rubber insulation. I double checked by leaving the curtains in a southern thunderstorm overnight. No leaks. I have a Nissan Juke and ordered a 4 piece set for my upcoming road trip. I use FRONT curtains for the rear windows and large front curtains for the tailgate. Since there are magnets on all 4 sides of the curtains, I ran them along the metal spring bars and connected the two curtains together. A great alternative to using glue or velcro for curtains covering the corner of a sunroof. Highly recommended. My mom even asked for a Revain link to try it on her Honda (also a hatchback). All in all a great product for the price! (For the record, I bought mine for $36 plus a 10% off digital coupon)
