Let me start by saying that to my knowledge this 2001 Honda Civic kit is for non-Vtec engines. I see a lot of references to the lack of EGR passages in the intake gaskets, and that's because a 2001 non-VTEC engine has no EGR at all, so gasket holes are not necessary. From my research if you have a vtec engine you need a 26236 PT2 kit, not a plain PT kit. Basically, all the gaskets are the same, except for the intake manifold gasket and the water pump gasket, which are different on vtec. So if you buy this gasket you will not get the right gaskets for your engine. Glad I bought the right kit the first time around as I had already disassembled the motor so I knew what what I had already replaced looked like. The head gasket was done so I hope it is of the same quality. Hope that helps
