Bought this kit to replace a leaking head gasket on my wife's Ex-05 Civic. The kit is fine except for the intake manifold gasket. It has no holes for the EGR system to work properly a P0401 insufficient flow error so now I have to take it all apart and replace with the original gasket, my time and labor is worth far more than any money made by buying one aftermarket kits is saved.

Not to mention this inlet gasket doesn't fit d17a2. Call felpro and the excuse is they don't control what auto parts stores put on their parts lists. This results in you having to work 3 hours as there is no mention of an intake gasket which does not work with the EGR system. This results in spending 2 hours of labor to replace the intake manifold gasket with one from another manufacturer.

Let me start by saying that to my knowledge this 2001 Honda Civic kit is for non-Vtec engines. I see a lot of references to the lack of EGR passages in the intake gaskets, and that's because a 2001 non-VTEC engine has no EGR at all, so gasket holes are not necessary. From my research if you have a vtec engine you need a 26236 PT2 kit, not a plain PT kit.
