I was very concerned about dirt and its holding power/durability. In Tennessee the mud is very hard/red clay. Until you weaken it. After driving those threaded nails into the ground (which took a while, btw) I was confident I'd broken up the dirt to put them in. Although it's been two weeks, we've had rain in the meantime, and it has held up very well to all the pulls, pull-ups and bumps that my short-legged pit "lowrider" sorted out. I'm considering trying another on one, if not I'll buy another one for his brother. I bought one for a test first. He has passed! A picture shows the muscle behind the "pull". The second picture shows them walking in different directions and how long their leash is (25 feet), which by the way gives them plenty of room to run to gain momentum. Very happy with my purchase. OPTIONAL UPDATE: I'm 200% satisfied and impressed! INCREDIBLY ROBUST, ROBUST AND EXTREMELY FUNCTIONAL! 1. Not a single spot of rust. 2. Two dogs together who chase any squirrel/groundhog (anything that runs away from them) over 120 pounds have never broken that bond (even in wet, flooded ground). had my reservations, no more! Nada, no. GREAT PRODUCT ❤ Oh, did I mention the reinforcement ring inside the clasp keeps my dogs from tearing the leash? I've been desperately looking for a fastener with this reinforced element, but to no avail. This design is worth its weight in gold!
