Honestly, this thing worked a lot better than I thought it would. I have this hooked up to a backup battery to use as a secondary emergency sump pump in case my first emergency pump fails. It auto starts using a float switch (purchased separately). It pumps out water up 8 feet and across a 20 foot room like a champ.The one caution I would give you is the output size. You get multiple sized adapters but they are not accurate. I found that I still needed to use a hose clamp to get a tight fit. I can't knock off a star for that considering it works so darn well otherwise.These is not meant for the purpose I use it but it does work! For the price.who could complain?
