Review on Nikon D3100 DSLR Camera with Auto Focus-S Nikkor Zoom Lens (Discontinued by Manufacturer) by Minoru Koshida ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Do not hesitate to buy, the quality is amazing for the price.

I bought it at the beginning of sales and recently drowned it, all this time the camera only pleased. wore it often, the case is plastic and the weight is not very large (relative to other cameras). I figured it out without instructions, which pleased me. as a DSLR for beginners, it's not bad at all. The function of internal image processing is a cool thing, but useless (IMHO). after a couple of months, dots began to appear in the viewfinders, it turned out to be dust (I confess I didn’t keep track), but it didn’t affect the pictures. The absence of a screwdriver starts to worry only when you choose optics, for AF you need optics with a motor, and it is more expensive, but these are just nit-picking. Regarding the lens in the kit (18-55), it is good for its price, but I would take the version with the 18-105 lens (I have one on my new one), it is much more convenient, because you don’t need to constantly change the optics, and therefore dust the mine, but if you need a camera for leisurely shooting, this one will do.

Pros
  • Justified price, build quality, ergonomics, user-friendly interface, shooting quality, weight.
Cons
  • the lack of an official battery pack (batteries are enough for 500-600 shots for someone a lot, but I didn’t have enough.) The mirror shaft quickly becomes dusty. No "screwdriver".
