I used these RAM Mount components to mount a cell phone to the driver's side windshield pillar. They hold very tight, ie zero slip. I replaced the existing handle retention screw with a base RAM mount with a separate longer and slightly smaller screw, and then used two of those screws and a RAM mount dual ball component to achieve the desired adjustment and positioning. The end result was perfect - way better than any other phone mount I've tried (magnet, windshield suction cup, weighted dash base, air conditioner vent mounts, etc.). The RAM mount costs a bit more than a standard phone mount, but it was worth getting something that actually works well rather than making the compromises everyone else was asking for.
