Perfect for small dogs! I looked at other dog bike baskets, but they all hung down too low (would have rubbed on tire) for my mountain bike. My dog is 10 pounds and after a lot of searching I went with this one. It works great! The bracket is sturdier than I thought it would be! At first it seemed my bars were too big, but once I got the screws started it clamped down to make a perfect and tight fit! That clamp isn’t going to budge a hair! BUT, since my dog is my baby I wrapped a nylon strap around the basket frame and clipped it on to my handles as a backup, but I think it’s overkill. I used an extra leash to wrap around the stem of my bike and then looped the clip through the leash handle, which created a secure mount to clip to my dogs harness…just incase she ever thinks about trying to jump out! I put her in and she was very relaxed in the basket! Our test ride went great and a longer ride went even better! She loves sniffing and looking around! The little bumps and turns don’t phase her at all. At 10 pounds she does make steering a little more awkward, but it was not a problem and I’m sure I’ll get used to the extra weight at the front. Overall 5 stars! Love that it doubles as a regular bike basket and that it can I clip to take into a store! Great quality and overall value! Highly recommend!
