I have a neuroma which was causing me intermittent stabbing pain in my foot. The doctor recommended either superfeet green insoles or Spenco metatarsal supports. In my local store I only found superfeet so I bought those and odered the Spenco insoles on Walmart. I wore the superfeet for a few days but they were not very comfortable - extremely hard and made my heels hurt by the end of the day. When the Spenco insoles arrived I replaced the superfeet in my shoes with these gel insoles featuring metatarsal support, and my feet felt so good all day. The metatarsal support made a huge difference, and the insole overall is much more comfortable - with cushioning yet support.
