Review on Dorman 924 526 Spare Hoist Assembly by Jay Lee

Total rubbish! Like others here, I started lifting the tire after the tire was off the ground, the winding mechanism made a sound like it was clicking inside. After that, the mechanism didn't raise or lower the wheel no matter how long and in which direction I turned it. DO NOT BUY plastic socket around cable and latch! I've worked on cars my whole life, a simple install isn't like buying two bolts, if you can't do that you shouldn't be working on a car! but what's the point of fitting if it's not stiff enough to deflate a tire of that size!
