Do you think I will praise with delight?
Column on a solid 4 out of five. There are a lot of speakers from JBL in use, and among all the price-quality ratio, clip 3, flip 5 are top, and boombox 2 does not pull 5 stars precisely because of the price, the lack of aptX, but in terms of sound it has no competitors in a similar form factor.
I bought it in the official Harman. Club store in 2022. With a promo code from vk, I managed to order at a pickup point for 21 thousand, which is not bad, but not cheap either. I bought it sensibly, since there is Flip 5 and I no longer wanted to take the first version, since there will be no pairing between the columns.
The sound noticeably changes with Party Boost, especially if the speakers are separated by 2-3 meters, a stereo effect appears, the sound turns out to be voluminous. Boombox 2 pumps open space without problems, and at a distance of up to 15 meters from the speaker, the sound is loud, with good bass, without porridge in the sound, when it’s already just loud and you can’t make out what is playing, who is singing. I use it in the courtyard of a private house, I took it to the river and everyone says that it sounds juicy and cool bass. In the apartment, the neighbors will listen to your music at a volume of over 70%.
I was very afraid about the color, but it turned out to be darker than in the photo and looks bright, juicy, compared to the black version. The color is much more practical than the black version and the prints are not as visible in the sun.
I will not recommend the column for purchase, since for many it is stupidly expensive, and the first one can be taken for adequate money. But if you are thinking of connecting speakers using Party Boost, there is Flip 5 or JBL Pulse 4, and if you generally like new devices, then you will definitely not regret taking version 2, and the Bluetooth 5.1 version is undoubtedly a big plus in a noisy company with a bunch of devices.

Pros

1) About the musical part. Due to the fact that now Bluetooth 5.1, the range has become larger and breaks through a couple of walls without problems at home. The signal is stable, and when there are many other devices nearby, there are no delays or interruptions at all. What's with the music now? Everyone writes only about the bass, but here the sound is generally excellent, both highs and mids are not bad. I listened to my playlist with different genres, from electronic styles, to metal with classics, with a bunch of instruments in the sound, and I didn’t hear any porridge that was frank for such a form factor, the speaker plays honestly well. The sound is deep, loud, but the bass does not clog the rest of the frequencies and this is very important, although I don’t argue a lot of it. 2) Delivery set and assembly. Everything is packed perfectly from the factory, the column is reliably protected from careless transportation, the battery is charged. The assembly is good, I would even say excellent, the plastic is well processed, pleasant to the touch, there is no unpleasant smell, like cheap trash, a comfortable and rubberized perforated handle, nothing sticks out anywhere, the plastic is painted, and the fabric is done perfectly, the adjustment to the gaps is at the level , flaws, streaks did not see. The color of the camouflage live is darker than in the photo and looks cool. The package is standard, although not non-standard, as there is an additional power cord designed for Western sockets. Now the speaker is IPX7 protected, so that the device can be submerged under water for a short time without consequences, to a depth of one meter. I bathed the column, stood in the pouring rain on the street, while alive. 3) Autonomy, controls. The speaker played all day at a volume of about 70% and the charge still remained somewhere around 40%. The speaker control buttons have undergone a minimum of changes, a Party Boost button has been added, the indicator has become a solid strip at the bottom of the speaker, and the rear plug has changed shape and removed the home, street modes buttons. It is convenient to use, and due to the fact that the bass is always the same now, switching modes is not necessary. Party Boost works without problems (tested on Flip 5), connected instantly.

Cons

A disgusting application that does not correctly display the device in Party Boost, there is just a speaker icon, little functionality, but it's easier to say that the software is not ok. The price is high, as for a novelty, no doubt, but there is also a floating rate (subjectively, as always, shorter). I did not hear the difference in volume when the power supply was connected, as stated in the sound from the battery and from the network, it can be corrected by the firmware, but so far so. Only 1 connector for charging gadgets. No support for aptX.
